The work explores a sense of a Persian soul through two familiar cultural images: the cat and the carpet.
To me, cats have an almost ethereal presence, while carpets carry centuries of craft, pattern and memory. Placing the cat on the carpet creates a quiet, dreamlike encounter between the living and the timeless.
The cats were hand-built in wax and the carpet was 3D printed and casted in bronze. It has been exhibited both behind glass in a group exhibition and on a low platform in an Ornamo art exhibition.
