This sculpture explores the idea of humans as a product of their environment.
The transparent glass head acts as a vessel for the surrounding landscape, visually capturing elements such as the sky, clouds, trees and light and bringing them together as a single, constantly changing thought. The work reflects on how the places we inhabit become part of who we are.
The head is blown glass and the body is made from high-fired, unglazed black clay. The sculpture is intended for an outdoor setting, or a space with a strong visual connection to the outdoors, allowing the changing environment and natural light to become part of the work.
